Kety
Kety works at Wall's teahouse by the lake -- she's his bright young granddaughter. She's very curious and energetic, and hates to be constrained or treated differently because of her age. Her cake-making skills have gotten remarkably good of late.
Jina
Jina is a maid at one of the homes in the village. She's the Mio Kisaragi shy, bespectacled type, and doesn't make friends easily. Her withdrawn nature masks a bit of a determined streak, though.

Sara
The daughter of a woodsman in the forest, Sara's strong and a little tomboyish. She's not tied too closely to her remote home, traveling frequently to the village and to the farms around it, where she gets along quite well with all the animals. Her outspoken nature occasionally clouds her reputation, but that can also be a positive quality
Dia
Dia's a daughter of one of the village's more prominent families, and somewhat hard to approach as a result, but she respects those who aren't too focused on themselves. Her somewhat strict circumstances have inspired a secret desire for independence.

Lyra
You probably only had to give her one glance to see that she's the cute, bubbly one. Lyra manages the flower shop in the village, and she's the one to fall for if you like junk food -- she makes great sweets.
Rune
The above characters are the ladies you can potentially marry -- this fellow obviously isn't one of them. Rune keeps to himself around the village, quietly doing a brisk business in secondhand widgets and his own inventions. Occasionally, you can get some important items from him.

Basil
As his gear suggests, Basil is a wandering, outdoorsy type, who travels the world in search of rare plants and herbs. He enjoys the locales around the village because they're particularly rich in interesting flora. He has a romantic nature, and he's very knowledgeable in botanical matters, so he's good company if you meet him while walking in the forest.
Kazan
We're pretty sure he's a nicer guy than he looks. Kazan is the proprietor of a neighboring ranch, and while he can be a little irritable at times, he's very good with animals, particularly horses. They say he was engaged to Sara when they were both children...

Tim
Tim's one of the local boys, Kazan's younger brother, who dreams of becoming a treasure hunter. He looks a bit outlandish, but he's actually a pretty steady sort, and he doesn't get depressed even after repeated failures of his mad schemes.
Shin
Another one of the village scamps, and pretty friendly in comparison to his younger brother. Shin is a tradesman's apprentice, but his favorite pastime is fishing. He treasures his fishing rod, which was given to him by a good friend, and he's fond of giving out his advice concerning the proper techniques.

Hayato
Shin's younger brother has a much more reserved personality, although he's an apprentice in the same trade. Hayato is shy and sometimes seems to be a bit prickly. He's very nimble-fingered, though, and good at detailed work.
Wood
Wood is one of the village's elder statesmen, a veteran woodsman and Sara's grandfather. He's outspoken, but unfailingly honest, and though he's getting a bit forgetful in his old age, he has a strong love for the land around him.

Wall
Kety's grandfather is, of course, the proprietor of the village tavern. Like any bartender, he's a very good listener. Off the job, he dotes on his granddaughter unfailingly.
Ronald
Here's a character you'll see an awful lot of: the village storekeeper. Ronald runs the general store where you'll buy tools, seed, feed, and other items vital to the maintenance of your farm. He keeps chickens on the side, and celebrates song, dance, and good food in his spare time.

Masa
Masa's the chief housekeeper around Dia's place, and Jina's grandmother. She's very protective of Dia, and naturally a bit suspicious of the fellows who try to court her, so the ambitious will have to find a way around her.
